This is our latest advice on whether you should upgrade to Yosemite – we’ll update it as and when things change.
Please be aware that running the latest Operating System on a computer that meets the system requirements posted by Apple doesn’t mean we would recommend it by default. As a rule of thumb, if your machine is two years old or less, it should run the latest OS without problems. Anything older may lose some functionality, or see a decrease in performance. Please contact us for advice if you need a recommendation for your system.

Consider your requirements (refer to the Roaring Apps site for software compatibility and the Apple site to make sure your computer is capable of running it). If there is nothing you run that is not Yosemite compatible, at this point we would still strongly recommend you wait a little longer before upgrading to allow time for other users to identify any faults and for developers to fix them, but we are not aware of anything that should restrict you significantly.Feel free to upgrade any non-production machines now to test Yosemite without it affecting your productive environment(s).

Consider your requirements (refer to the Roaring Apps site for software compatibility and the Apple site to make sure your computer is capable of running it). If there is nothing you run that is not Yosemite compatible, at this point we suggest there is no reason not to upgrade. You may find some occasional glitches until the next minor update (due imminently), but we are not aware of anything that should restrict you significantly.
